• Purpose: Primarily used for treating fertility disturbances, including ovulation induction in women and stimulating testicular development/sperm production in men.
• Composition: A mixture of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
• Source: Extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women, who have naturally high levels of these hormones.
