Epithalon (or Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) designed to mimic the pineal gland extract epithalamin.

Primarily studied for anti-aging and longevity, it acts as a telomerase activator to potentially extend telomeres, reduce oxidative stress, and regulate neuroendocrine functions.

Research indicates potential benefits for sleep, immunity, and cancer suppression.

Mechanism of Action: Epithalon stimulates telomerase activity in somatic cells, helping to maintain and lengthen telomeres, which are crucial for cellular longevity.
Origin: Developed in the 1980s by Prof. Vladimir Khavinson, it is a synthetic version of a polypeptide complex found in the pineal gland
