ACE-031 (also known as Ramatercept) is an experimental fusion protein developed for the potential treatment of muscle-wasting diseases like Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
Its clinical development was halted in Phase II due to safety concerns, and it is currently prohibited in sport by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Mechanism of Action
ACE-031 functions as a ligand trap by binding to and inhibiting several negative regulators of muscle mass, including myostatin and activins, which normally limit muscle growth.
By doing so, it prevents these ligands from interacting with their natural receptors (activin receptor type IIB or ActRIIB) on muscle fibers, leading to increased muscle cell growth (hypertrophy).
For research use only, not to be used in clinical trials involving humans. Documentation is for information only.
Note:
With this option, we will mix it for you with bacteriostatic water and put it into a disposable pen (no vial received). The pen offers easy and accurate dosing for your research purposes, adjustable from 1 to 60 iu’s. It comes complete with enough alcohol swabs and needles to complete your research, all contained in a case.
If you already have a reusable pen you can also buy this peptide premixed in a cartridge only (see alternate product).
