• Mechanism of Action: PNC-27 binds to HDM-2 (human double minute 2) protein, which is overexpressed in cancer cell membranes. This binding induces the formation of membrane pores, leading to rapid, non-apoptotic cell death (necrosis).
• Targeted Cancer Cells: It has shown effectiveness in killing various cancer cells, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and breast cancer cells, as well as in ex vivo studies of ovarian cancer.

• Structure: It is a 32-residue peptide, combining a p53-derived tumor suppressor sequence with a cell-penetrating peptide (penetratin).
